Despite the mind-numbing statistics about the plight of all animals and dogs in particular, our collective efforts can make a BIG difference.

- Speak up against and report animal cruelty and abuse.
- Keep in mind that a pet is not a toy or just for Christmas. It’s for life.
- To prevent overpopulation and to keep your pet healthy be sure to spay and neuter your pet, provide flea and worming protection, and vaccination regularly.
- To keep your pet happy and responsive to you be sure to provide lots of TLC, healthy food and plenty of exercise and play time.
- Become a guardian angel. Adopt a pet from shelter or rescue group.
- Help stop puppy mills– cruel mass breeding operations.
- Demand no-kill animal shelters.
- Help end animal cruelty in all forms including dog fighting.
- Help ban experiments on animals including the use of animals to test cosmetic products.
- Say no to fur. Furs have faces too. No animal should be sacrificed for human pleasure.
- Urge your representative to join the congressional Animal Protection Caucus.
- Demand tougher animal cruelty laws and enforcement with zero tolerance for animal abusers.
- Demand legal rights for defenseless animals to protect against exploitation and abuse.
- Feature pets on your personal or business website.
- Join an animal protection movement.
- Help us spread the word!
