A Teacher's Guide to Peace Education

We offer paths to lasting peace and prosperity by
integrating the influence of high-profile people, who share
a similar passion to make a difference, as well as the
media. We choose powerful tools such as music, books,
movies, TV/radio specials and unique events and social
programs celebrating the human potential and spirit, with a
unifying and empowering message of hope for all.
Our strategic plans call for specific programs, activities
each with their own goals, budgets and deadlines which are
intended to educate the public and advocate for social
change. These programs are as follows:
(1) Educate young people through outreach programs, news
media, books, music, special TV/radio programs. Establish a
program of youth exchange in which children of different
cultures and races are exposed to others in the spirit of
friendship. In this way, we hope to plant seeds of peace
early on so that every one becomes a messenger and a
committed ambassador of peace in their own communities for
future generations.
(2) Provide a meaningful experience in which young people
can feel a sense of control over the direction of their
lives. Establish a multi-purpose center ("Building Bridges")
designed to provide a place where people, and kids in
particular, can get a chance to meet, connect, get support,
guidance and discuss current events and relevant issues in a
safe, non-restrictive environment.
(3) Provide support and expertise on various cultural issues
in order to inspire cultural peace and harmony. Distribute
information to volunteers, schools and media, coordinate
efforts with other like-minded organizations, develop
educational outreach for schools, churches, senior clubs and
plant the seed of peace to combat cultural and racial biases
and hatred.
(4) Create and hold a peace summit/conference to bring
together other like-minded people who are interested in
contributing through their ideas and strategies.
(5) Create a national network of grassroots activists with a
massive campaign directed towards public education. Produce
teachers' packets including a special educational video
targeting elementary, middle and high schools level with the
emphasis on non-violence and a more tolerant approach to
preventing and solving conflicts.
(6) Create a bimonthly newsletter "One Spirit, One World
Update" which will contain news, ideas, strategies as well
as suggestions for future unified action.
(7) Conduct special seminars and workshops with high-profile
and well-respected people and experts in the field of human
potential, while promoting the concepts of peace and
conflict resolutions.
(8) Send letters to key people in the media and the
educational system, advocating for the development of
special programs designed to offer unique and relevant
learning experiences with effective and innovative solutions
to society's problems (including teaching the value of
diversity and co-existence as a critical element for our
very survival). This would include special hands-on projects
such as field trips, field work projects, interactive
educational activities and plays. This will hopefully
strengthen the sense of community and improve race/culture
relations which would result in less violence and other
destructive behavior.
(9) Incorporate our "11 Commandments for Human Decency" in
our programs as a way to increase awareness, peace
consciousness and personal responsibility.
(10) Establish similar chapters and community outreach
programs in other countries.
(11) Collaborate with other like-minded organizations to
accelerate the process of affecting change.
